Lynette Stenhouse

Executive Director Allied Health

Lynette Stenhouse was appointed Executive Director Allied Health in July 2025, following several senior leadership appointments across North West Hospital and Health Service. She brings more than a decade of experience in allied health, mental health, and executive management across rural and remote Queensland.

Lynette has held multiple key roles within NWHHS, including Acting Director of Healthcare Standards, Acting Director of Mental Health and ATODS, and Acting Team Leader for Child and Youth Mental Health Services. In each role, she has championed patient safety, clinical quality, service integration, and workforce development. Her experience includes oversight of large multidisciplinary teams, driving improvements aligned with national healthcare standards, and building culturally safe, community-responsive models of care.

Before joining NWHHS, Lynette held leadership and engagement roles with North and West Remote Health, headspace, and BUSHkids — supporting early intervention and allied health services across the Lower Gulf and remote communities.

She holds three postgraduate qualifications: a Master of Health Management, a Master of Public Health, and a Master of Social Work, along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Her academic and professional background reflects a strong commitment to equity, innovation, and delivering meaningful outcomes across rural health.

Lynette is passionate about building resilient teams, embedding allied health as a critical pillar of care, and improving access to high-quality services across some of Queensland’s most remote communities.
