Loretta is an experienced board director, health executive, and finance professional with more than thirty-five years’ domestic and international experience, with a focus in the healthcare sector for the last 20 years. Prior to healthcare, Loretta worked with companies in manufacturing, banking, mining, construction/tourism, local government, and retail.  Loretta has held Executive and Non-executive Director roles on health, research and education boards and as CFO worked with Finance, Audit and Risk committees.

Loretta's healthcare career in Australia includes working as a senior consultant with a focus on health service and strategic planning and business advisory and has held Health Executive positions as Chief Finance Officer at Children’s Health Queensland and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Services, and with Mater Public and Private Hospital Group in Queensland. Internationally, Loretta held roles as CFO at Great Ormond Street Hospital (NHS, London UK) and Sidra Medicine in Qatar. Loretta grew up in regional Queensland and worked in remote locations during her career in mining and construction/tourism.

Loretta has strong understanding of healthcare business performance and financial operations, brings experience in the areas of strategy, operational planning and performance reporting, financial management and sustainability, governance, risk and compliance, health service and infrastructure planning and health funding. In the UK, led the implementation programme for the Electronic Patient Record and Research Systems at a tertiary NHS hospital.

Loretta has a Degree in Business, Master Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, and held prior leadership roles as CPA Queensland Divisional Council President, CPA Qld Divisional Councillor and other CPA committees and CFO Forums supporting finance professionals.
