Health Provider Portal
You can access your patient's health records on The Viewer through the Health Provider Portal (HPP) website.
If you don't have access, you can register on the Queensland Health website.
Records include:
- pathology reports
- discharge summaries
- medical imaging reports
- medicine lists
- outpatient letters
- operation reports
- test results.
You may also be able to access your patient's records if they have a My Health Record.

Our medical records department
You can ask us to send you the parts of your patient’s health record you need for their care.
Tell us exactly what you need. For example, a copy of their colonoscopy report in 2018. If your request is too broad we may contact you to narrow it down.
You need written consent from your patient to access their records. You’ll also need to include their:
- name
- date of birth
- contact details.
