About our traineeships
Our school based traineeships help you start a career in health while you’re still at school.
You’ll get paid work experience while completing your Queensland Certificate of Education. You’ll also work towards a Certificate III and gain skills that can help you find a job after school.
As a trainee, you’ll:
- work one day a week in a temporary part time role
- learn on the job skills with support and supervision from your line manager
- do 375 hours (50 days) of paid employment over 12 months.
You may be able to do a traineeship in:
- health administration
- allied health assistance
- nursing assistance
- health services assistance
- dental assisting.
We offer traineeships at Mount Isa Hospital and Cloncurry Multipurpose Health Service.
