North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) has opened expression of interest for 2026 appointments to its Hospital and Health Board.
Hospital and Health Boards play a critical role in providing critical oversight, driving service delivery, good governance and accountability across the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
This round of appointments will see frontline clinicians appointed to the Boards of every HHS, fulfilling the Queensland Government 2024 election commitment and new legislative requirements.
NWHHS Board Chair Cheryl Vardon AO said “strong governance and community insight are vital to ensuring that health services meet the needs of our region. With clinicians joining Boards for the first time, we will be even better placed to connect frontline experience with strategic decision-making.”
“We encourage people with a passion for health and community service to apply. Serving on the NWHHS Board is an opportunity to help guide the future of health care and make a real difference for families right across the North West.”
Expressions of interest for appointment to Hospital and Health Board positions will be open until 7 September 2025.
Board Chair and member positions are available across services.
